Battle of the Bulge museums

Most Battle of the Bulge Museums are in Belgium, but you can find a few in Luxembourg as well.

Battle of the Bulge Museums often started as a collection of vehicles or uniforms and did grow over time.

The Belgium Ardennes is still a forested region with few rivers and quiet valleys. The hilly countryside is ideal for hiking and cycling, and a nice place to spend a holidays.

This museum is focused on the Battle of the Bulge, while not being a big museum, there is enough to see for about 1,5 hours.

Return on foot
La Gleize is the village where a spearhead of the German counteroffensive was bogged down. Fuel shortage was a big problem for this unit, and among other factors, commander Peiper eventually ordered the demolishment of all vehicles. All wounded German soldiers who could not walk were left behind. The rest walked back to the German lines during the night.

Big Museum
Bastogne War Museum has about 400 exhibited objects on 1,600 square meters. Caption and audio guide are in 4 languages: English, French, Dutch, and German. When you include a visit to the nearby (100 m) Mardasson Memorial, the museum shop, and the restaurant, you can easily spend 3 to 4 hours.

MUSEUM - Baugnez 44 Historical Center

This museum is about the Battle of the Bulge and is situated near the crossing where a German SS unit killed many already captured American soldiers of an Artillery unit.

Not a big museum
Baugnez 44 is not a big museum, but certainly well worth a visit, The museum has a museum shop and a restaurant, you can easily spend up to 2 hours at this place.
